Winter access requires 4WD/AWD and proper winter tires.

This original log cabin sits on beautiful Goldstream Creek with its own private pond, where you can enjoy wildlife, migratory birds, and the peaceful surroundings. The cabin now features **hot and cold running water** supplied by a freshwater holding tank, along with a **private enclosed outhouse** just steps away. Please note there is **no shower** at the cabin. Showers and laundry are available just 1.8 miles away at the Goldstream General Store. **Winter guests:** A 4WD or AWD vehicle with proper winter tires is required. No refunds will be issued due to road or weather conditions.

Getting around You will need a car (or hire taxis and Lyfts) to fully enjoy the area. There is ample parking, so multiple cars are no problem. Fred Meyer (groceries, all shopping) and gas stations are only 10 minutes from the cabin, the downtown is 15 minutes away, and you are so close to ski trails and hiking Murphy and Ester Domes (right in the middle of both!). We recommend all guests to purchase travel insurance incase you are unable to make your reserved dates. In the winter there is snow and a 4WD is required in winter to make it to the cabin During winter storms in Alaska, the Internet can be intermittent and so can the power. Welcome to your own little cabin in the woods. This is just off Sheep Creek Rd., and feels like you're away from it all, but yet you're only 15-20 minutes from the airport, 10-15 from major shopping, 5-10 minutes from the university and just 1.8 miles to the nearest showerhouse/laundry facility and awesome local restaurant/bar, Ivory Jack's. The cabin is situated on 2 acres of huge old spruce trees, with Goldstream Creek encompassing the property line, along with your very own little pond where migratory birds love to come and go. You do have a few closer neighbors who are all quiet and nice. It is a sweet, safe and peaceful little Goldstream neighborhood. You'll drive back Golden Valley Dr. (the road you turn onto off of Sheep Creek Rd.) and take it all the way back (you'll pass others' cabins with no trespassing and other hilarious signs) until you get to Starwood Ct. which is a Y and look for the red metal poppies. Veer to the left here and you'll dead end into the cabin (you'll pass my neighbors on the left who have little kids so always toys out front)!
